I <3 shred

Crazy, of course, but were you in a different key starting around 0:32? Or was that chromatic fiddling? ;)

Metaljonus responds:

Haha yeah I messed up lol oh well.

Neat song

I think a delicious harmonic minor solo could've fit in there somewhere very nicely, but otherwise, great arrangement with the stringed instruments and guitar riffs what not.

Really nice sounding synth guitars too.

He's right

Do more than drums before you post :P

Don't post until it's finished :3

Fuck your shit.

Woah

While my version was just mindless wanking over a scale, you added feeling and you kinda put the song in a new direction, I like yours a lot more :D

No1r responds:

Thank you my friend :)
This solo has some wrong notes and the pitch of the guitar isn't really perfect..
but i think i'll update it, in a while!
Thanks for listening and reviewing.

Eh.

Sounds like a collection of riffs with some drums in the background. Good production and drumlines, but it's kind of repetitive and has that very generic metal formula. I've heard it all before, this honestly isn't very unique.

I mean, it doesn't really go anywhere, gets kind of irritating to a point. Like I said before; it sounds very sectioned, like you just put some riffs together. That affects the general flow of the song I think. Try and make effective use and variation of your riffs so that it flows naturally.

Try something new is really all I'm saying. Also; I can't hear the bass unless it's just sitting on one note the whole song and being drowned out by the frequency of the bass drum.

EQ your guitar, but keep doing everything else.

Everything was pieced together very well, the orchestra, piano, etc. But your guitar tone is absolutely terrible. Very noisy and fuzzy. All the other instruments are fantastic though.

R0tt3n-Appl3 responds:

lol i know exactly what you mean, way too much crunch.

it's already been fixed, and you'll hear perfection on the next version (that's a promise)

Eh.

I don't see where the immense hype about these songs comes from.

It's just a bunch of collected repetitive riffs, really. The drums are generic and redundant, and there is no bassline or lower frequencies to help this song keep an interesting background rhythm. It sounds empty, or unfinished.

With two lead instruments and no backing, it just makes the song very void. But hey, whatever you did, you got the masses to enjoy it. Maybe it was the concept, or the guitar hook. I don't know. It just doesn't have a sense of life to it to me.

Goukisan responds:

Well, it's quite a simple song I'll give you that. I made the original version of it years ago. Basically the idea was to make the two instruments sound like they were 'battling' but at the same time sound good together.

I'm not sure why this is as popular as it is either, I guess there are a lot of people besides me who like this kind of music.

Gonna have to fav and download

Phenomenal, this is really put together nicely. All of the elements used in this are pieced together just ever so powerfully. It flows and keeps your attention, I love it :D

CyriltheWolf responds:

Succint and amazing. Thanks for the most awesome review Kor.

Very Eddie

Good, but work a bit more on your accuracy and lose a bit of the choppiness in the higher notes, it sounds much better in the long run. Keep shredding though.

Great atmosphere

I don't look at a lot of front page or popular material, but this caught my eye. Neat story, well executed, powerful musical progressions, it's flawless, awesome job.
