This will be much fun!

Thanks for another awesome backing track to shred over!

sorohanro responds:

the pleasure is all mine ;)
thanx for review

Awesome!

I think the "James Bond" sound comes from how the progression is laid out, how it ascends 3 times, then descends on the last chord.

Sweet freakin' work, again! The synth is a nice addition. The rhythm tone does sound muddy without any drums or other instruments to back it, but I love the midtones of the lead tone a bunch.

Keep it up dude!

sorohanro responds:

second "Guitar Challenge" is up, with backing track of this on my page ;)
also a slower version (with James Bond theme in background) in "classical" way
thanx for review

Sweet medley!

All comes together nicely to create a diverse and colorful piece.

Awesome production and performance 5/5 10/10

CyriltheWolf responds:

Thank you!

Awesome song!

The vocals were done well, props to Alex, the production was awesome, and melodies are solid and performed well.

Work on the soloing a bit though if you're gonna go fast :D

I think a slower solo with a few well placed legato segments and a few more integrated slides and richer midtones would add a lot more to the song.

Good work!

Naitzmic responds:

Thanks for listening. ^^

Well composed :D

I love the melodies and the dynamics and the woodwinds, yes, this is awesome! 10/10 5/5

CyriltheWolf responds:

Thank you. :D

Lovely.

You incorporated the time signature changes very well, and the production is very full and packs a punch. Favorited. :3

CyriltheWolf responds:

thank you. :D

Okay.

I think the vocals should try to be a pushed bit more operatic than what they are, to get that darker overtone atmosphere to match with the song. Certainly some high notes, though.

I don't really like the drums, I think a bit of heavier hihats and more snare during the chorus would add a lot to the fullness. either that, or have not such of a sharp bass drum but rather an extremely low tom, to give it that orchestrated feel.

It's also a bit short for a song with this kind of epic atmosphere and feel. Kind of a typical layout for the song as well. It's only okay for me.

MaestroRage responds:

Yeah, I thought about that too. I was really indecisive on this piece and changed my mind a lot, and eventually I just decided to do some high coloratura celtic work.
As for perccussion... ^ ^; Yeeeeaaah... I'm not too familiar with that field, so I really have to work on it. I'll do better next time!
I understand how you feel. Metal is a very new and different territory for me, and I really didn't expect this to reach top song of the week. So this was not the best time to get so much publicity. ^ ^;
I'll try harder next time!

Neat take

I don't know though; I think there may be something a bit off in the mode or scale you used.

And don't worry, even the stubbiest of fingers can play guitar with a bit of practice, look at Tommy Iommi.

5/5 10/10

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Haha, Tommy. I hear metaljonus is gettin chubby too. hahaha.
Anyways, Thanks for the review!! Scale? whats that? LOL.

Redundant

Very repetitive, with the constant single kick drum and the choppy synth lead. Also your sounds used sound muffled and dated, like 1980's MIDI, unless of course, you were going for that sound.

Try using different drums, and try and make the composition flow a little better next time by listening very closely and connecting with the transitions and smooth them out, rather than just throwing together notes with around 3 or two different sounds in the mix.

RandomHuman responds:

I don't think it would be smart to change everything in the song while making a remix... have you ever heard the fur elise?

And, I was trying for the muffled, dated type of sound

Needs more to it.

It just sounds void. Maybe some light, quiet strings, harmonized guitars slightly panned, and some delay on the guitars and very slight reverb on the drums to add fullness. Also the guitar should be turned down slightly, I think. Just my two cents, though :P

DarKsidE555 responds:

simple, raw, honest with this.

Furthermore...does anybody ever read the description? :(

This was something made for TrippingMetal. If he's cool with the tune/mix, then I'm cool with it. It's for his stuff anyways. >:/

Anways, thanks for checking.
