I say go ahead and make it known. People just need to get over stupid shit accept people as they are (several of my best friends are bisexual). You having to even hide a side of yourself is a sign that there's still a lot of intolerance in the world.

So as I said, I'd just make it known. It's a part of you and if people really give two shits about you, then they'll just accept you for who you are.

I'm surprised your family didn't find out ages ago. Seriously... has anybody listened to "When the Time Comes"? You could have recruited a lady vocalist and the context wouldn't change, thanks to the lyrics' ambiguity. The influence your sexuality has on your music, lyrically and otherwise, is profound. Few people can pull that off without coming off as either gay or bisexual, but only a family member can figure it out.

I care not for sexual orientation in others (I'm straight) but your sister might if she can use it to manipulate you. She might not support your bisexuality--nobody has to, really--but turning it into a personal attack reflects poorly upon her. The first response of any threatened or cornered being is to strike back, but that's not going to reflect well on you at all.

You know what to do? Tell her you love her... but you can't like her if she keeps manipulating you. What you are is not as important as what you do. Suppose you exhibit a healthy restraint in your sexuality: you aren't liable to suffer the indignities that people relate, sometimes exclusively (and they are not!), to homosexuals. You won't be as diseased as she could get, assuming she doesn't restrain herself. This thesis applies to anybody, regardless of sexuality.

Sex has a million and one risks, everything from "undesired" pregnancy to diseases that evolved from mere skin rashes because the habits of host subjects differed (poor skin hygiene in one continent, port town brothels on the shores of another). The power to recognize an innate attraction to your own sex as well as the other, admitting it, and exercising control to live virtuously without being bound by its vices... well, that's hard to do. Few mortals bother to try, seeing how lazy and stupid society is in general. Having to constantly prove oneself to others is made harder because of such apathy and cynicism.

Tell you what: you compose and play a song dedicated to your sister (nothing satirical, now!) and encourage a reconciliation. She's going out of her way to generate a lot of negative attention from you, so maybe she just feels a little abandoned. Cheer her up; the only means of getting over oneself and each other is to love your enemies.
